*****UPDATE 24/07/14*****
Last update regarding our attendance at this Sundays event in Wyndham Park to celebrate it's 90th anniversary. We will have a number of volunteers helping throughout the day as follows.

Brian: 09:15/09:30- 11:30
MIke: 10:00- 12:00

Bob and Myself will be present at various timings throughout the day.

On arriving at the park just come straight to our stall which will be on the tree lined avenue (NCR 15) opposite the white bridge over the River Witham.

Our stall will have a number of local maps and information free for all as well as some items for donation sale, I'll let you know the prices on the day.

I shall have my mobile (0773 986 4490) on me so if you need to get a message to me or need to call me for any reason then please don't hesitate.

.....and finally don't forget your Sustrans red event t-shirts on the day, no hi-viz needed just to look casual. John, I will bring your t-shirt with me on Sunday for you to change into.

Enjoy the day and event and I look forward to seeing you soon.

Some final details for our group attendance at the 90th anniversary celebrations at Wyndham Park, Grantham on Sunday July 27 between 10:00- 14:00.
More information about the event here.

Sustrans next week will be sending on banners, maps, information and small items for a nominated donations, along with our own supplies of local maps there should be plenty of advice and ideas for visitors of our stall. The Wyndham Park forum, organisers of the event have kindly given us space in the marquee which I'm sure will give us shelter from the sun on the day.

If you can help out for an hour or two on the day then this would be very much welcomed but could I please ask you to get back to me by this Sunday (July 20) via email or in person at the forthcoming signing ride as to whether you can or can't help out on the day so I can get an idea on numbers.

Workdays for May & June

Firstly many thanks again for another great turnout on the last workday, 27 April on the old rail path to open up the access point. Despite the threat of rain this didn't deter Peter and John joining me in making real improvement to the route and for the users off.

I was going to plan for the next day to be down Running Furrows Gate with us looking at the hedges and nettles which have recently put on growth, however in the last 2 weeks Barry and Marcus (Sustrans Maintenance) have done all that is required and done a great job too. I met them on the last visit, last Tuesday and thanked them, we also discussed the next visit for them in June/July which will see Barry and Marcus grass cutting NCN 15 from Muston- Woolsthorpe Top Lock.

Anyway I've put forward the following dates, a mix of week and weekend dates and job listings where confirmed, any unconfirmed I'll be in touch nearer the time. This will take us through to mid June where I think a few weeks break will be taken for us to enjoy the summer and I'm sure le tour de France. We'll return to workdays, etc from mid July.

Friday 23 May, 18:00- 20:00 (2 hours max)
Meet near A1 flyover, Harlaxton Road, Grantham.
Map here.
Cutting back off overhanging branches and ground vegetation at the entrance towards the canal towpath.
Bring any tools suitable for the job in hand, gloves and ranger vest.

Friday 30 May, 18:00- 20:00 (2 hours max)
Meet at Green Lane cycle path entrance off Belton Lane. (Near Belton Lane Primary School)
Map here.
A ride out of Grantham up through Londonthorpe to the proposed NCN 15 crossing over the High Dyke road, an opportunity to look at possible ideas for crossing and routes out of town.

Saturday 21 June, 10:30- 12:30 (2 hours max)
